unsent letters
general likes: hurt/comfort, mindscrew, body horror, pining, pining but nobody knows you're pining, memory loss, 'and there was only one bed,' power dynamics, nightmares, dubious consent, black comedy, Groundhog Day AU/scenario, fluff, intimacy, comedy, leaning into the canon-typical ridiculousness.
general dnw: noncon, scat, watersports, coffee shop AUs, high school/college AUs, bestiality, specific character bashing, omegaverse, gratuitous descriptions of bodily functions, second person fic, any non-canon death or serious injury of a child under 13, fic where the main focus is a character's sexuality/gender identity.

specific likes:
- pre-canon
- timeline shenanigans
- Mahiru's obsessive tendencies
- Hikari not being as cool as people think she is
- gratuitous theater references
specific dnw:
- please DO NOT MENTION the mobile game. I don't play it. Anime canon only.
specific prompts:
- Mahiru confesses her love to Karen via an unsent love letter. This can either be cute and adorable and heartfelt or just like, the fucking WORST attempt at a love letter you've ever seen.
- Nana keeps a diary to try and remember how everything's supposed to go in her time loops.
- Pre-series Hikari writes to Karen while she's abroad (unsent letter for this one, plz)

specific likes:
- missing scenes
- post-canon
specific dnw:
- no Johnsquared (Segundus/Childermass)
- no modern AUs
specific prompts:
- Strange and Segundus seem like they're decent enough buds via the footnotes/various moments in the text, but they've only got like one on-screen interaction! I'd like letters between the two that develop their friendship throughout canon.
- Bouncing off that first one, Segundus tries to find a way to write to Strange and tell him "hey, can we talk about magic in our next letter and not just five pages of you bitching about Norrell? Pretty please?"
- In the pillar of darkness, after a fight, Strange and Norrell discover the appeal of communicating via whatever the fuck the Regency era equivalent of sticky notes on the fridge is. The more passive-aggressive the better.
- Post-series, Arabella and Emma write letters to each other while Arabella's in Venice. Your goal on how spicy the letters are, but I'd at least like a few tiny hints that one (or both!) of them have a big crush.
- Pre-series, Strange writes the world's worst love letters to Arabella who's got to find a way to gently tell him his work sucks. Think like, 'I am a freshman taking my first English class and I have a LOT OF FEELINGS' level of poetry. The more you can mangle forms, the better.

specific likes:
- off-screen adventures!
- feel free to get as creative as you like with things post-canon.
- acknowledging that K-9 and Company exists, in all it's stupid glory.
specific dnw:
- no period-specific homophobia.
- let's keep all the UNIT prompts set in the same vague 1970s/1980s time period.
specific prompts:
- Any two companions of your choice get together and catch up/compare their own experiences with traveling with the Doctor. I'd love to see this prompt specifically with characters who've traveled with different doctors or Sarah Jane & Harry.
- Let's make the UNIT dating controversy a UNIT dating controversy. Internal memos about how you shouldn't shack up with coworkers, gossiping about the fact that someone's shacking up with a coworker, very silly office politics, the Brig being exasperated by all this, etc.
- Honestly, any UNIT internal memo would be fun as is, especially if it's somehow related to the Doctor's bullshit.
specific likes:
- somebody lives, not everybody dies
- feel free to get as creative as you like with things post-canon.
- /slaps the roof of the car, you can fit so much trauma into this bad boy
- either full-tilt trauma or full-tilt comedy
- Hickey living his best, most terrible life
- for the modern AUs, tuunbaq shows up in an unexpected capacity. I fucking love that bear and love it when he shows up as like, Silna's weirdly aggressive dog.
specific dnw:
- no nicknames for characters who don't have canon nicknames
- no modern AUs except for the two specific prompts listed
specific prompts:
- All the unsent letters Francis Crozier composes in his head to Sophia as he sits by himself in his sadness igloo. Not in an 'I miss you babe xoxo' way, just in a 'you are literally the only person I like who's still alive' sort of way.
- Post-canon cute and sappy Fitzier love letters that do a VERY BAD JOB hiding the fact that these two men are horrifically fucked up by the expedition.
- During canon, you know that scene in cartoons or anime where the main character has received so many Valentine's Day letters that when they open up their locker, a flood of letters comes out to almost drown them? Fitzjames gets whatever the Terror equivalent of that is.
- Hickey tries to write a love letter to Gibson. It goes HORRIBLY WRONG.
- I do not like modern AUs for the series in general, but I have two big, important exceptions. Number one: Cornelius Hickey texts all his "friends" to try and get them to join his MLM. You KNOW he knows that Amway's a fraud but if he can con his stupidass coworkers into doing it, then he can make some bank. Emoji abuse encouraged. Your pick on who falls for it, but I'd at least like one person to buy in to that #girlboss mentality.
- Number two for my modern AU exception: John Irving texts all his friends to ask them if they want to come to this event that's totally NOT a church thing, why would you think that? It's just hanging out with some friends, eating pizza, and talking about life. Just ignore the fact that it's totally held at his pastor's house and the fact that Irving posted some weird stuff about discipleship on his Insta, it's TOTALLY normal. Again, your pick on who falls for it, but I'd at least like one person to awkwardly show up.
